Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems for global connectivity, lunar and Mars missions, and beyond. The company is forming a newly high-performing Talent Acquisition team and seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner to recruit world-class technical engineering and aerospace talent. In this role, you will operate in a highly technical, fast-moving environment, partnering closely with hiring managers to navigate complex engineering requirements. You will influence hiring decisions, advocate for exceptional candidates, manage shifting priorities, and maintain recruitment momentum in a fast-paced setting. Your expertise will be critical to identifying and securing top-tier technical talent in a competitive aerospace market. Key responsibilities include: - Sourcing and recruiting hard-to-find technical engineering and aerospace talent through multiple channels - Building and maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates - Managing competing priorities in a dynamic, urgent environment - Providing guidance and expertise to hiring teams on technical recruitment strategy - Adapting quickly to changing business needs and launch windows - Contributing to the development of recruitment processes and team culture The role is fully office-based in Auckland, Monday to Friday, with no flexible or remote work arrangements. Rocket Lab operates with urgency and intensity—when launch windows open or customers need support, the team delivers. This is not a traditional nine-to-five role; it demands resilience, creative problem-solving, and a commitment to mission-critical work. QUALIFICATIONS: - 5+ years of recruitment experience - Proven technical engineering or aerospace recruitment experience (essential) - Demonstrated success sourcing hard-to-find technical talent through multiple channels - Experience in either agency or in-house recruitment environments - Strong relationship-building skills; hiring managers and candidates trust your delivery - Ability to manage conflicting, urgent priorities in a fast-moving environment - Creative problem-solving and adaptability when plans shift - Collaborative mindset; thrive in high-trust, high-performing teams - Demonstrated "Rocket Lab hustle": urgency, resilience, and drive for results - Background check eligibility: Must hold citizenship of Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the European Union, or a NATO country, or be eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State/Commerce authorizations under ITAR regulations.
