You will own the systems, data, and operating rhythm behind Render's hiring function. This is a high-leverage role for someone who excels at turning fast-moving, complex work into clear operating systems. You'll architect the ATS infrastructure, build reporting dashboards and analytics that enable better hiring decisions, and lead process improvements that allow the company to scale without sacrificing quality. Key responsibilities include: - Architecting the ATS across custom fields, access roles, interview plans, feedback forms, automations, integrations, and reporting foundations - Owning the reporting layer for Talent leadership and hiring teams, including dashboards, ad hoc reporting, metric definitions, and visibility into hiring plan progress - Ensuring hiring data accuracy and reconciliation across the ATS, hiring plan, and downstream systems - Identifying patterns in recurring Talent Operations requests and turning them into scalable systems and automations - Evaluating, procuring, implementing, and managing recruiting operations tools - Building integrations and automations (API-based) that reduce manual work for recruiters and coordinators - Leading process rollouts with documentation, training, adoption tracking, and follow-through You'll work closely with recruiters, recruiting coordinators, hiring managers, People leaders, and external partners. The role requires someone who is practical, systems-minded, and steady when work gets complex—able to zoom out to design systems and zoom in to improve specific fields, reports, or automations. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years in recruiting, recruiting operations, talent operations, people systems, or similar systems/data roles in high-growth environments - Deep ATS expertise, particularly Ashby; ability to design system architecture across custom fields, access roles, interview plans, automations, integrations, and reporting - Strong analytical skills; ability to take vague questions, determine what data answers them, and build reports independently - Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel; ability to pull data from multiple sources and synthesize findings for cross-functional partners - Experience owning data integrity across an ATS and surrounding systems, including reconciliation against hiring plans or other sources of truth - Strong program and change management skills; ability to roll out processes, train teams, measure adoption, and maintain alignment - Clear written communication, strong documentation habits, high attention to detail, and good judgment in fast-moving environments NICE-TO-HAVES: - Experience building or scaling a recruiting operations function at a post-Series B/C company - Experience supporting technical recruiting teams or high-volume engineering hiring - Hands-on experience with the Ashby API or ATS-based reporting - Exposure to headcount planning or headcount management systems - AI fluency with good judgment about where AI helps, where it adds risk, and what checks are needed
