Ambrook is a Series B fintech startup rebuilding financial infrastructure for American family-run businesses. The company helps independent operators in agriculture, manufacturing, and other real-economy sectors gain financial clarity and access capital through modern accounting, banking, and spending tools. As Talent Engineer, you'll own the intersection of recruiting technology and human judgment. Rather than using AI to speed up traditional recruiting, you'll architect systems that automate the entire sourcing and pipeline management funnel, freeing your team to focus on high-judgment conversations and mission-driven hiring. Key responsibilities include: - Design and build autonomous sourcing and outreach loops that identify, reach out to, and follow up with candidates on cadence, learning and improving over time. - Engineer the sourcing surface by building tooling and enrichment pipelines that find great engineers where they actually are—open-source projects, competitive programming communities, builder networks, social platforms—rather than relying on keyword searches. - Automate candidate enrichment and context gathering so recruiting conversations are always informed and time is spent on high-potential candidates. - Create reporting systems that monitor pipeline health in real-time, surfacing trends and anomalies early rather than in retrospectives. - Build a network cultivation system that maps second-degree connections and orchestrates outreach at optimal moments (job anniversaries, team changes) to turn warm intros into serendipity at scale. - Help organize and run hackathons, events, and community gatherings where top talent naturally congregates. You'll work closely with Ambrook's founding recruiter to build the automations, agents, and systems that make hiring more human and efficient. This role is ideal for someone who sees recruiting infrastructure as a core product and wants to understand how to engineer both a growth funnel and a company culture from the ground up.
