Hiya is a B2B SaaS company focused on making business calls more trusted, useful, and effective through branded calling, caller identity, call performance insights, and voice security solutions for enterprises and SMBs. You will own talent acquisition across EMEA end-to-end, covering GTM and Engineering hiring in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the Nordics, with APAC expansion to follow. This is the first permanent in-house recruiting hire in the region, replacing a contractor model. You will partner daily with hiring managers across EMEA, HR Operations and onboarding in the US and Europe, and EMEA sales and engineering leadership. Key responsibilities: - Own a portfolio of 8–12 live roles across EMEA spanning GTM (Account Directors, Account Executives, SDRs, Customer Success) and Engineering, from intake through offer and handover. - Run intake meetings to turn vague hiring manager briefs into defined, sourceable requirements; push back when the brief and market do not align. - Source directly and relentlessly, recognizing that most strong candidates will not apply unsolicited and the company has limited brand recognition. - Build and maintain market maps, talent pools, and competitor intelligence for hiring countries so knowledge compounds within Hiya. - Pitch Hiya credibly to senior candidates in markets with no brand recognition, converting skepticism into genuine interest. - Use AI tooling across the entire workflow—sourcing, research, screening, outreach, reporting—and continuously improve as tools evolve. - Partner with HR Operations and onboarding across US and Europe, setting candidate expectations on multi-country employment realities (EOR, etc.) to prevent offer fallthrough. Hiya values ownership, transparency, autonomy, and a high bar for quality. You will be expected to form opinions, engage directly with hard problems, work through ambiguity, and take responsibility for results. The company has been recognized by Built In, GeekWire, Comparably, G2, Forbes, and Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for culture, innovation, leadership, and compensation. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of in-house recruiting experience with hands-on hiring across multiple EMEA countries (not UK alone). Agency background welcome, but you must have owned in-house processes and be able to name countries, volumes, and market lessons. - Genuine all-rounder: recruited both commercial and technical roles; can hold your own with engineering hiring managers. - Demonstrated track record of identifying and attracting senior talent in competitive markets for companies with no brand recognition (single most important requirement; will be tested live). - Proven ability to operate as strategic advisor to hiring managers, including reframing or challenging briefs that won't work. - Active, fluent use of AI tools in day-to-day recruiting work alongside a modern recruiting stack (will be demonstrated live during interview process). - Drive, resilience, and comfort with ambiguity: sustaining high-quality outbound when response rates are low, staying credible after pipeline stalls, and returning to rejected markets with improved approaches. STAND-OUT QUALIFICATIONS: - Recruiting experience in APAC, particularly Japan or Singapore, alongside UK+Europe. - Experience being first or among first recruiters in a new country for a company. - Working knowledge of Ashby or comparable modern ATS. - Additional European languages (German, French, Spanish). - Experience hiring into markets via Employer of Record.
