ARX Robotics is building autonomous defense systems for Europe, and this role is the on-the-ground HR function owner for the Kyiv office. You will serve as the strategic HR partner and advisor to the CEO and local leadership, bridging the global People & Organisation team with the realities of operating in Ukraine.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the primary HR advisor to the CEO and leadership team on employment law, HR best practices, and organizational decisions
- Serving as the HR contact for all Kyiv office employees
- Designing and running compliant onboarding experiences that set new hires up for success
- Owning local performance management cycles, coordinating reviews, and supporting managers in development conversations
- Managing HR administration and coordinating the HR administrator
- Ensuring full compliance with Ukrainian labor law, documentation, reporting, and defense sector security requirements
- Adapting and implementing global ARX HR policies to fit local legal and cultural context
- Creating and supporting learning and development initiatives
- Advising and coaching managers on leadership, team effectiveness, employee development, retention, performance issues, and organizational change
- Maintaining strong talent culture evaluation for current and future hiring needs
This is a function-owner role where you will bring structure to a fast-growing office and make a direct impact on how ARX attracts, develops, and retains exceptional people in a complex and meaningful industry.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of HR experience, ideally within a multinational, defense, or miltech environment
- Deep knowledge of Ukrainian labor law, HR compliance, and documentation requirements for regulated sectors
- Hands-on experience across the full HR spectrum: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and administration
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions locally while staying aligned with global HR strategy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion
- Experience maintaining HR records and reporting to both local authorities and international teams
- Practical, solutions-oriented mindset
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
