Tailscale is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Sourcer to identify and engage exceptional talent as the company scales globally. This is a senior individual contributor role requiring deep sourcing expertise, technical fluency, and strong talent market knowledge.
You will partner with Talent Acquisition Partners, hiring managers, and TA leadership to develop and execute sourcing strategies across Engineering, Product, Design, GTM, G&A, executive, and other business-critical searches. The role focuses on understanding complex hiring needs, translating them into sophisticated search strategies, and finding talent others may overlook.
Key responsibilities include leading sourcing strategies for high-priority and difficult-to-fill searches; developing deep knowledge of Tailscale's product, technology, and culture to identify candidates who thrive; researching adjacent companies, open-source ecosystems, and communities to uncover candidates beyond traditional sources; using sourcing data and market intelligence to assess pipeline health and improve strategies; conducting talent mapping and market research to provide actionable insights on talent availability and competitive landscapes; building inclusive sourcing strategies that identify exceptional talent across diverse backgrounds and experiences; creating compelling, personalized outreach for highly sought-after candidates; and collaborating across the TA team to elevate sourcing practices through knowledge sharing and advanced techniques.
You'll be comfortable with sourcing data, market research, and translating insights into recommendations. The ideal candidate has experience sourcing highly technical and specialized talent, understands adjacent talent pools and communities, and can build authentic relationships with passive candidates while maintaining pipeline health for current and future hiring needs.
