Tailscale is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Sourcer to identify and engage exceptional talent as the company scales globally. This is a senior individual contributor role requiring deep sourcing expertise, technical fluency, and strong talent market knowledge.
You will partner with Talent Acquisition Partners, hiring managers, and TA leadership to develop and execute sourcing strategies across Engineering, Product, Design, GTM, G&A, and executive searches. The role involves translating complex and ambiguous hiring needs into sophisticated search strategies, finding passive talent others may overlook, and strengthening sourcing capabilities across the TA function through market intelligence, talent mapping, and experimentation.
Key responsibilities include leading sourcing strategies for high-priority and difficult-to-fill searches; developing deep knowledge of Tailscale's product, technology, and culture to identify candidates who thrive; researching adjacent companies, open-source ecosystems, and specialized communities to uncover talent; using sourcing data and market insights to assess pipeline health and improve strategies; building inclusive sourcing approaches that broaden qualified talent pools; creating compelling, personalized outreach for highly sought-after candidates; and elevating sourcing practices across the TA team through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and reusable frameworks.
