Arago is an AI and semiconductor company founded in 2024 by AI researchers and physicists, focused on breakthroughs at the intersection of AI and photonics. The company has just taped out its first chip and is scaling rapidly across France, North America, and Israel with a lean, multinational team.
You will own talent acquisition end-to-end as a headhunting-focused role, reporting directly to the CEO and CTOs. Your primary mission is to source, recruit, and close senior technical talent—staff/principal engineers, research scientists, and technical leaders—who will shape Arago's next phase of growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Running full-cycle recruitment and closing candidates across hardware, optical, software, and research domains
- Partnering with CEO, CTOs, and engineering leads to scope roles and calibrate hiring standards
- Building a proactive sourcing engine across the US, Europe, and Israel
- Defining and continuously refining Arago's interview process and hiring bar
- Tracking pipeline health and hiring velocity, reporting clear updates to leadership
You'll need 5+ years of recruiting experience with a strong headhunting track record in deep tech, semiconductors, AI, or hardware. You should have proven success closing senior technical talent independently, ideally from Series A–C startups. Sharp sourcing instincts, comfort across geographies and timezones, and fluency in both French and English are essential.
