Salary: USD 255,000 - 310,000 / annual
Anthropic is seeking an exceptional senior People Partner to support its Research teams in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role is a critical member of the People Partner team, working on key HR projects in alignment with Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, and other functions while providing strategic support to senior leaders and managers across Research.
Key responsibilities include:
- Act as a trusted advisor and coach to Research leaders on HR and organizational matters
- Provide comprehensive support to employees and managers on human resource topics throughout their lifecycle at Anthropic, partnering with Benefits, Compensation, and other specialist teams
- Work closely with management to foster a high-performance culture aligned with company values, ensuring performance management and employee relations issues are handled appropriately
- Partner with specialist teams, leadership, and finance to implement scalable, top-tier programs and policies that attract, retain, and develop outstanding talent
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects with other People Partners to enable employee development and growth, such as manager training programs
Minimum qualifications:
- Experience operating in HR at a fast-growing tech company with fluency in North American employment law and best practices
- Background in a tech company, startup, or similarly fast-paced environment
Preferred qualifications:
- 6+ years in People Partner, People Operations, Employee Relations, Recruiting, or related functions
- Experience supporting AI-focused Research and Engineering teams
- Demonstrated passion for supporting diverse employees and managers at all organizational levels
- Proven expertise in confidential, practical support with training in conflict resolution
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and ability to implement them in culturally appropriate ways
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills with ability to develop creative solutions
- Experience building and scaling processes in high-growth companies
- Interest in AI safety and curiosity about artificial intelligence applications
The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience. Anthropic currently expects staff to be in offices at least 25% of the time, though some roles may require more office presence.
