Cloudflare is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join the Emerging Technologies & Incubation (ETI) department and Product Growth team. You will work on large-scale, high-performance applications and user experiences that directly impact key business metrics.
In this role, you will bridge product engineering and growth, translating product vision into polished code. Your responsibilities include:
• Experimentation & Growth: Deliver customer-facing UI experiences and A/B experiments to accelerate user acquisition, engagement, and retention through data-informed hypotheses.
• Full-Stack Execution: Architect scalable front-end solutions and build features end-to-end across the product lifecycle, including front-end, back-end, infrastructure-as-code, system design, debugging, and testing.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, design, and data/analytics teams to define outcome measurements, establish experimental frameworks, track behavior attribution, and shape product roadmaps.
• Performance & Productivity: Enhance application performance, code quality, security, and developer productivity across core properties.
• Trust & Safety Compliance: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all product experiences comply with trust and safety principles.
Desired qualifications include proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript for building reusable SDKs and UI components, strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript ecosystems. Experience with serverless architecture (Cloudflare Workers, AWS Lambda, Azure Functions), growth and analytics (A/B testing, feature flags, telemetry), and system design with RESTful APIs is highly valued. You should be product-minded, comfortable with rapid iteration, and able to leverage AI tools to ship faster.
