LeanData is seeking a Senior Vice President of People to partner with newly appointed CEO Katy Keim and the executive team to build and scale the company's talent and culture function. This is a strategic C-level role responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive people strategy aligned with LeanData's business goals as the company transitions from $50M to $100M in revenue. Key responsibilities include: developing a 12–18 month people roadmap covering talent acquisition, employee experience, performance management, change management, and organizational design; launching a first-ever leadership development program for first-line and mid-level managers; establishing frameworks for feedback, accountability, and trust; designing transparent, competitive compensation and promotion philosophies; improving quality-of-hire metrics; creating a high-impact onboarding experience; and fostering engagement and retention, particularly among remote and EMEA-based teams. The ideal candidate is a business-minded People leader with prior experience as a Chief People Officer or VP of HR at a high-tech Silicon Valley company. This person should be a progressive thinker who leverages AI to enhance HR processes and speed, understands multi-generational workforces, and is not constrained by traditional HR systems. They must be a culture champion with high empathy and compassion, able to protect and grow LeanData's unique hybrid culture while bringing employee voice to strategic decisions. Success metrics include: developing and executing a strategic people roadmap; launching leadership development and embedding a feedback culture; improving hiring quality and onboarding satisfaction to 90%+; implementing transparent compensation and promotion frameworks; and achieving an employee engagement score of 80%+ (building from a baseline eNPS of 55) while reducing voluntary attrition among high performers. The role requires strategic thinking, exceptional communication, conviction about people's impact on business outcomes, and the ability to support significant organizational change including AI adoption, commercial-to-enterprise go-to-market transitions, and shifts toward empowered decision-making. This person will operate as a true partner to the CEO and leadership team, fostering a "One Team" culture modeled on championship-level sports organizations.
