Long Wall Company, founded in 2024, is accelerating missile defense technology for the U.S. and allies. We specialize in ballistic missile defense, developing Cyclops—a low-cost, mass-producible interceptor—along with containerized launchers and low-cost targets for threat replication. As Supply Chain Specialist for Strategic Vendors, you will own and manage the company's most critical vendor relationships as the primary point of contact and single accountable owner for strategic suppliers. You will manage the vendor process end-to-end: sourcing, evaluation, selection, negotiation, onboarding, delivery, and post-delivery performance management. Key responsibilities include leading strategic sourcing activities (RFI/RFQ/RFP processes, supplier capability assessments, second-source evaluations), negotiating pricing, lead times, terms, and long-term agreements with strategic suppliers in partnership with Legal and Finance, and traveling to vendor sites for capability assessments, quarterly business reviews, and on-site issue resolution. You will monitor and manage supplier performance against quality, cost, and on-time delivery targets using scorecards and business reviews, manage delivery schedules and purchase order execution, and partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to align supplier capabilities with technical requirements. You will identify and mitigate supply risks including single-source dependencies and capacity constraints, ensure suppliers meet ITAR/EAR export control and quality system requirements, maintain accurate data in the ERP system, and drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives as the company scales. Required: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; 5+ years progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or vendor management with direct ownership of strategic supplier relationships. Must demonstrate end-to-end supplier relationship ownership, strong negotiation skills, experience managing supplier performance through scorecards and corrective actions, proficiency with ERP and procurement systems, excellent communication skills, and willingness to travel regularly (up to 25%) to domestic vendor sites. Preferred: aerospace & defense or complex regulated manufacturing experience, experience sourcing complex hardware (machined components, electronics, aerospace-grade materials), working knowledge of ITAR/EAR and FAR/DFARS requirements, experience building procurement processes in fast-growing companies, advanced Excel skills, and supply chain certifications (CPSM, CSCP, CPIM). US person status required due to ITAR access requirements.
