Lumilens is building photonics infrastructure for AI supercomputing, developing high-speed optical interconnects and photonic engines to power next-generation AI and high-performance computing systems. The company is Series B funded and led by industry veterans.
As Supply Chain Planning Manager for New Product Introduction (NPI), you will lead material and supply planning across the full development lifecycle—from prototype through pilot and design qualification. Your core mission is translating engineering build plans into executable material requirements, ensuring component readiness, and surfacing supply risks early to keep development on schedule.
Key responsibilities include:
**Material & Supply Planning**: Convert engineering forecasts into detailed material requirements and procurement plans for prototype and pilot builds. Partner closely with engineering to validate BOM completeness and secure components ahead of each milestone. Identify long-lead items and supply constraints early. Track procurement of manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and test gear. Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, and material consumption across development phases.
**Build Support & Coordination**: Ensure material availability aligns with build schedules at contract manufacturing partners. Support engineering change management by updating material plans as designs evolve. Facilitate smooth handoff of material plans from development into production.
**Risk Management**: Maintain visibility of critical-path components and long-lead items. Flag potential shortages, supply disruptions, or single-source risks to program and engineering leadership.
**Analytics & Reporting**: Track planning metrics including forecast accuracy, BOM completeness, and on-time material availability. Provide regular supply readiness updates to cross-functional leadership.
You'll need a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain, or related field, plus 5+ years in supply chain planning, material planning, or MRP execution—ideally in electronics, semiconductor, or hardware manufacturing. Proven experience managing material plans across multiple sites and coordinating with suppliers and CM partners is essential. Hands-on ERP/MRP expertise (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and strong Excel/data skills required. Inventory optimization experience is a plus.
