Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Materials Supervisor to lead warehouse operations and optimize material management in Santa Ana, California. In this role, you will develop and implement strategic material management plans, create performance metrics, and identify cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing material management strategies, policies, and procedures compliant with defense and federal regulations
- Hiring, training, and leading a warehouse team to manage material flow according to Anduril guidelines
- Implementing end-to-end material management measures including FIFO adherence, inventory variance analysis, cycle time optimization, and scrap/obsolescence management
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (procurement, production, manufacturing engineering, logistics, quality) on demand forecasting and procurement planning
- Aligning material availability with production schedules to minimize disruptions and meet customer demand
- Analyzing material usage trends and implementing lean practices to optimize handling, storage, and distribution
- Utilizing ERP and WMS software systems to track inventory, generate reports, and provide data-driven insights
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality control protocols
- Leading and developing a high-performing warehouse team with guidance, training, and performance feedback
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or equivalent work experience; 3+ years in material management, inventory control, or supply chain roles in aerospace/defense manufacturing; 1+ years managing leads, supervisors, associates, or technicians; and ability to work onsite in Santa Ana or Costa Mesa, CA.
Preferred qualifications include AS9100 standards knowledge, OSHA compliance expertise, hands-on warehouse experience, 5S/lean/6-Sigma familiarity, and proven employee development skills.
