Atoms is building Physical AI — real-world robots for industries that move civilization forward, including food, mining, and transport. The company integrates hardware, software, AI, operations, manufacturing, and real estate to deploy and scale robotic systems in real-world environments. As Strategy & Planning Manager, you will own talent strategy end-to-end, translating organizational priorities into structured projects with clear owners, milestones, and measurable outcomes. You'll step into high-priority people challenges across the portfolio and drive efficient growth through headcount planning and organizational design work, including spans of control, layer analysis, and role architecture. You'll model workforce scenarios across FTE vs. AI workforce, location decisions, and in-house vs. outsource trade-offs. You will rebuild Atoms' hiring model, redesigning and operationalizing a recruiting process that produces better hires faster and at lower cost. You'll architect goal-setting and performance programs that genuinely differentiate talent, using data to surface high performers and flight risks, then build systems that act on those signals. Finally, you'll serve as the analytical and operational backbone for board and executive-level people reporting, driving ROI analysis on talent programs, hiring spend, compensation, and tools. You bring 5–8 years of experience, ideally with a Tier 1 consulting background and meaningful time inside a high-growth operating company. You take problems from ambiguous briefs to shipped outcomes and have a track record to show for it. You're comfortable with data—pulling, modeling, and presenting workforce analytics independently. You create structure where there isn't any, with strong project management instincts. You operate with low ego and high output, focused on execution rather than advice. The role is based in San Francisco with five days per week onsite, as close collaboration is essential to the company's innovation-driven culture.
