SafeRide Health is a Series C, profitable technology and services company rebuilding non-emergency medical transportation. The company pairs proprietary technology with a national network of vetted providers to help payers and health systems reliably and affordably get members to critical care appointments (dialysis, chemotherapy, behavioral health, primary care). SafeRide serves major Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and provider programs, operates at ~$750M annual run rate, and employs 300+ people.
Strategy & Operations is SafeRide's internal consulting function—the team called when problems are ambiguous, cross-functional, or lack a clear owner. Work spans healthcare, logistics, and technology: rebuilding transportation-mode economics, redesigning contact-center forecasting and staffing, evaluating AI tools before investment, diagnosing margin issues, and standing up new business lines. Unlike external consultants, S&O stays embedded until changes are live, adopted, and visible in the numbers. The team is fully remote, asynchronous-first, and distributed across the US.
As a Senior Manager, you own a domain of company performance: diagnosis, roadmap, realized value, and the executive relationship. You manage a team of three to four (including managers), set analytical standards, frame problems the business hasn't articulated, lead priority-setting across S&O and adjacent teams, move executive conversations to decision, broker agreement between stuck leaders, build durable management rhythms and systems, and own the translation layer between frontline operations and the product/data roadmap. You stay hands-on where stakes justify it and set the standard for how the company evaluates AI investment. The role offers executive access from day one, real influence on company direction, and the rare opportunity at this scale to play a longer game than the next quarter.
The work sits increasingly between Operations, Product, and Data Engineering. You will define what Operations actually needs built and ensure it happens. You will build the next generation of S&O talent while establishing management standards and culture that outlast individual projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
- 7–9 years in management consulting, business operations, or product development (or combination)

- Experience managing and developing a team, including people who manage others or lead workstreams independently
- Executive presence with range: credible in working sessions with C-suite and process reviews with operations teams
- Deep analytical and technical fluency: comfortable in data, able to reason about platforms, automation, and agentic AI tools (e.g., Claude, Claude Code); credible on what is worth building
- Track record in ambiguous environments where the problem was not pre-defined
- Strong business judgment and orientation toward durable operating change, not one-time analysis
- Ability to operate as player-coach: hands-on while leading through others

- Experience leading strategy or platform initiatives inside a product organization (product strategy, product operations, S&O with real product/platform ownership)
