Eucalyptus (part of Hims & Hers) is the world's leading consumer healthcare platform, operating across the US, Australia, UK, Germany, Japan, Spain, and Canada. The company delivers personalized, high-quality care through a network of prescribers, nurses, health coaches, pharmacists, and dietitians, focusing on preventative health, weight management, and women's and men's health conditions.
The International Strategy & Commercial team owns strategic initiatives and commercial decision-making across Eucalyptus's international portfolio, spanning existing operating countries (Canada, Germany, Japan, Spain) and new country launches. This is a small, high-ownership team operating with high autonomy and accountability to outcomes.
The role spans three primary pillars:
1. Operating Countries: Help run strategy and own commercial performance of live markets. This involves understanding each market's P&L, running experiments across the funnel, placing data-driven bets, and partnering with local teams to execute. You'll work closely with General Managers to set joint OKRs.
2. Corporate Development: Identify new growth pathways by evaluating new verticals and investment opportunities. This is high-value, strategic work that drives the International business toward revenue targets.
3. Global Pharma & Strategic Partnerships: Strategize with major commercial relationships globally, including big-pharma partners (e.g., Novo Nordisk, Eli Lilly). You'll help structure and negotiate commercial deals (rebates, co-funding, demand-generation programs), build underlying financial models, and own some relationships end-to-end.
Priorities shift month to month, requiring fluidity across all three pillars depending on business needs. The team moves fast, operates with high autonomy, and holds itself accountable to outcomes.
You'll report to Owi Weerawardena, Head of International Strategy & Commercial, and work day-to-day with the VP International, Chief of Staff, expansion leads, and country General Managers.
Qualifications:
- At least 4+ years of experience in high-pressure environments such as consulting (MBB preferred), investment banking, or as an operator in a recent high-growth startup. Strong commercial/banking skill set required; experience across multiple areas highly valued.
- Commercial & financial modelling: ability to build commercial models from scratch, make assumptions explicit, and defend them across market sizing, unit economics (CAC, LTV, payback), and deal structures.
- Business understanding & due diligence: quickly grasp what makes a market or partnership successful, understand unit economics dependencies, and frame research to support go/no-go decisions.
- Negotiation: demonstrated experience in real commercial conversations with partners, suppliers, and pharma companies.
- Project management: experience running complex cross-functional workstreams with real accountability.
- Communication: ability to write tight investment theses and clear slide decks.
- Founder mindset: operate like a founder with hustle and ownership; resilience when problems arise.
- AI & Data (nice to have): comfort getting answers from data—writing SQL queries, building dashboards, stress-testing assumptions independently.
- Behaviours: act like an owner with humility and low ego; resilient and adaptable; comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities; move fast; think from first principles.
