Co-founders include Bret Taylor (former Salesforce co-CEO, Google Maps co-creator, current OpenAI Board Chair) and Clay Bavor (18-year Google veteran who led Google Labs and AR/VR initiatives). As an Agent Strategist on the Tech, Media & Telecom team, you will own the complete agent development lifecycle for enterprise customers in telecommunications, media, and technology sectors. You will translate complex business problems into production AI agents that handle thousands of daily conversations. Key responsibilities include: - Own the full agent development lifecycle: from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and continuous production iteration. You will have real ownership and autonomy over outcomes. - Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to enterprise executives. Sit shoulder-to-shoulder with customer leadership to understand their definition of success and shape their AI strategy accordingly. - Partner with customer working teams on a day-to-day basis. Run working sessions, troubleshoot agents as issues arise, and make decisions that keep builds on track for launch. - Directly influence product direction by surfacing unmet customer needs and feeding them back to Sierra's research and platform teams. Example projects include: scoping and launching subscription-retention agents for telecom/media companies; building top-of-funnel sales agents that qualify prospects and convert interest into new subscriptions; creating new-subscriber onboarding agents that activate service and reduce early-life churn; developing proactive agents that detect and resolve issues before customers contact support; and building media growth agents that drive content discovery and subscription renewal. You will work at the intersection of product, technical implementation, and customer-facing strategy. The role requires staying close to the technology while understanding the people and businesses you build for. REQUIREMENTS: Must-have: - Genuine customer obsession and energy working directly with customers to understand their business and needs - Clear, direct, and persuasive communication across technical and non-technical audiences - Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to break down complex problems, spot risks early, and adapt in fast-changing environments - Technical aptitude: comfortable engaging with technical concepts including API documentation, data models, system architecture, and engineering tradeoffs - Track record of running multiple complex, high-visibility projects simultaneously and driving them to outcomes - Interest in telecommunications, media, and technology sectors Strongly preferred: - Hands-on experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production, including familiarity with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, and prompt engineering - Founding experience or founding team membership, or operator background balancing craft, ownership, and speed - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field; or equivalent practical experience; and/or MBA or comparable experience at the intersection of technology and business - Client-facing consulting, solutions, or strategy experience in technically complex environments - Familiarity with customer care, billing, identity, content, or technical support systems in telecom, streaming, digital media, enterprise, or consumer technology sectors
