Sierra is building an AI agent platform that enables enterprises to deliver better customer experiences. You'll join as an Agent Strategist, owning the full lifecycle of AI agent development for enterprise customers—from initial scoping through production deployment and continuous optimization.
In this role, you'll sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and customer success. You'll work directly with enterprise executives to translate business challenges into high-performing AI agents, then partner with internal technical teams to build, evaluate, and refine them. Your responsibilities include:
- Owning the agent development lifecycle: taking agents from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and production iteration. You'll have real autonomy over outcomes.
- Serving as a strategic advisor to enterprise leaders, understanding their business goals and shaping AI strategy that drives measurable results.
- Running working sessions with customer teams, troubleshooting agents in real time, and making decisions that keep projects on track.
- Surfacing product insights from customer work to inform Sierra's platform roadmap.
Recent projects include building subscription-retention agents for telecom/media companies, commerce troubleshooting agents with personalization, and redesigning conversation flows for regulated financial services deployments.
You'll bring customer obsession, clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and technical aptitude (comfortable with APIs, data models, system architecture, and engineering tradeoffs). A track record of owning complex, high-visibility projects is essential. Experience in financial services, AI/LLM agent deployment, founding/early-stage operations, or a technical degree (CS, Engineering, Math) plus MBA or equivalent is a plus.
Sierra is founded by Bret Taylor (former Salesforce co-CEO, Facebook CTO, Google Maps co-creator) and Clay Bavor (18 years at Google, led Google Labs and AR/VR). The company partners with industry leaders including SoftBank, Uber, Rivian, CLEAR, and Sutter Health. Primarily in-person in San Francisco with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
