Key responsibilities include:
• Team Leadership & Talent Development: Hire, coach, and evaluate the Category Manager team, implementing structured development projects to elevate capability across commodity areas.

• Process Standardization: Own and continuously improve core sourcing playbooks, including RFI/RFQ/AVL qualification sequences, Kraljic category frameworks, and standardized supplier scorecards.
• Negotiation Governance: Establish deal sign-off thresholds, escalation paths, and redline standards, providing direct coaching to Category Managers on complex supplier contracts.
• Capacity & Resource Prioritization: Prioritize team bandwidth across spend categories to align sourcing efforts with critical business demands and schedule constraints.
• Functional Boundary Enforcement: Enforce clean operational boundaries between Strategic Sourcing and Material Planning.
• Executive Reporting: Synthesize category strategies, cost savings/avoidance metrics, and supply constraints into cohesive views for executive leadership and monthly S&OP reconciliations.
Required qualifications: 8–12+ years in strategic sourcing or category management with direct people management experience in manufacturing, industrial hardware, or electrical equipment sectors. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field. Proven track record designing and scaling sourcing governance, process playbooks, and team structures. Expertise in contract negotiation, portfolio risk management, category segmentation models (Kraljic Matrix), and financial modeling.
