Sunday is building personal robots to reclaim time lost to repetitive household tasks, with a mission to make generalized robotics broadly accessible. The company has spent 18 months building a talented team, securing capital, and validating core technology.
You'll join the Data team as Strategic Projects Lead, owning the most ambiguous, high-impact problems across the organization. This is a hybrid strategy-and-execution role where you'll identify undefined problems, build processes and tooling from scratch, and run them until they become working functions. You'll hunt down friction points across the Data team—finding where things break or slow down, diagnosing root causes, and shipping fixes. You'll be a force multiplier across all teams: Data Ops, ML, Product, Software, and Hardware.
Key responsibilities include: owning new operational initiatives end-to-end from vague problem statement to documented, hand-off-ready function; aligning stakeholders across teams and clearing blockers; building the operating system for each function (SOPs, workflows, tooling, health metrics); pulling and analyzing operational data to inform decisions and flag issues early; and handling operational miscellany that keeps the Data team running smoothly.
You'll need 2+ years leading teams or developing product/operational processes, an entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of owning ambiguous problems and building structure from scratch, strong cross-functional coordination skills, comfort in fast-moving high-ambiguity environments, strong organization and follow-through across parallel threads, and the ability to leverage AI to enhance productivity. Nice-to-haves include experience in strategic projects, chief-of-staff, investment banking or program management; strong data analysis skills; and exposure to robotics, embodied AI, or real-world data collection.
