Replay is a business process automation and data company that has scaled rapidly by partnering with frontier AI labs to provide high-quality, proprietary training data. The company discovered that real business data—generated through collaboration, communication, and building—is exceptionally valuable for training next-generation AI models, and now serves as a primary data source for leading AI research organizations. As Strategic Project Lead, you will own end-to-end relationships with frontier AI labs, managing multi-million-dollar data projects from initial scoping through successful delivery. Your responsibilities include: - Owning complex, multi-million-dollar data projects with frontier AI labs across their full lifecycle - Acting as primary liaison for lab research and data teams, converting model improvement goals into actionable data requirements and quality metrics - Building and maintaining strong client relationships, proactively identifying expansion opportunities and ensuring world-class execution under tight deadlines - Coordinating with partner companies and internal teams to source, structure, and deliver data while removing operational blockers - Engaging directly with high-profile technical and research counterparts, demonstrating fluency in model training, evaluation, and data pipeline concepts This is a high-ownership role suited for someone equally comfortable in technical research discussions and operational execution. You'll work in a fast-moving environment where you carry outsized responsibility and grow alongside the company. REQUIREMENTS: - 2–3+ years in high-pressure, high-ownership environments such as engineering or technical program/account management at a startup - Proven track record owning complex, ambiguous projects with multiple stakeholders and external clients, delivering successfully - Ability to engage directly with external stakeholders, including senior technical and research leaders; curiosity about model training and evaluation; comfort holding technical conversations at that level - Strong analytical skills: structuring messy problems, working with data, building metrics to track project health - Excellent written and verbal communication, including with senior external stakeholders - Gritty, action-oriented mindset with willingness to roll up sleeves BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience at or working with a frontier AI lab, or as a data/evaluation vendor in the AI space - Forward-deployed, solutions, or client-facing delivery experience - Hands-on experience with data pipelines, RL environments, evals, or model post-training - Founder or early-stage startup employee background
