Salary: USD 165,000 - 185,000 / annual
Pomelo Care is a leading virtual medical practice for women and children, providing care across pregnancy, postpartum, pediatrics, menopause, and perimenopause. The company combines proactive, 24/7 clinical care with technology to reach patients earlier, identify risks sooner, and deliver personalized care.
In this role, you will spearhead growth with the nation's largest employers. You will own the end-to-end sales process for large and jumbo employers, driving market demand, crafting tailored prospect and buyer-level strategies and proposals, and managing the full sales cycle. This position reports to the Head of Employer Sales and is integral to driving Pomelo revenue growth and furthering the mission to serve more families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Champion Pomelo's mission with enthusiasm and credibility, utilizing relationship building to drive market demand
- Develop detailed plans for meeting individual sales targets
- Secure meetings with employer buyers at all levels, from C-suite executives to benefits leaders
- Position Pomelo's value proposition effectively, tailoring approaches based on competitive insights and buyer needs
- Assess and engage decision-makers, influencers, and champions, crafting persona-specific strategies
- Work collaboratively with channel partners (health plans, benefits consultants) to drive efficient, consultative sales processes
- Drive and achieve sales goals, managing the entire end-to-end sales process
- Travel as needed for conferences, prospect meetings, and broker/consultant engagement

REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of direct sales experience, including at least 5 years selling to benefits leaders or similar functions within large employers (25K+ employees), with documented history of exceeding quotas
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex end-to-end sales processes with exceptional organizational skills and Salesforce proficiency
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities; ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling messaging for diverse audiences
- Adaptive, pragmatic mindset; ability to thrive in fast-paced, metric-driven startup environment with competing priorities
- Familiarity with healthcare system and digital health space, including industry and competitive trends; willingness to research and learn new domains
- Experience managing cross-functional projects, problem-solving across teams, and turning ideas into actionable strategies
- Mindset focused on continuous improvement and relentless drive for success
