Join Uber for Business as a Strategic Operations Associate on the founding team building and scaling Catering, one of the company's fastest-growing strategic priorities. You'll sit at the intersection of Strategy, Operations, Sales, and regional Delivery teams, playing a central role in making Catering expansion repeatable across markets globally. Key Responsibilities: Market Launch Execution: Own the operational cadence for Catering launches across new markets. Translate established launch frameworks into clear work plans, milestones, owners, and readiness criteria. Market Readiness: Coordinate cross-functional readiness across U4B, regional Delivery Strategy & Operations, Sales, Operations, and other local stakeholders to ensure each market is prepared to launch. Expansion Planning: Support market and account opportunity analysis, including book-building and lead identification, to help determine where and how Catering should expand. Playbook Iteration: Identify patterns and deviations across markets, distinguish local requirements from systemic gaps, and continuously improve the expansion playbook based on launch learnings. Cross-Functional Coordination: Drive clear communication, issue resolution, and escalation across global and regional stakeholders while independently solving problems within the established framework. This role offers the opportunity to help write the playbook rather than follow one, shaping how Uber's Catering business scales from pilot to core offering across the globe. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience in program management, operations, strategy, launch operations, enablement operations, or a related field. Strong organizational and execution skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams, stakeholders, milestones, and dependencies simultaneously. Structured problem-solving ability: apply established frameworks to new situations, identify meaningful deviations, and determine which issues can be solved directly versus escalated. Comfort working with business data to support market prioritization, performance monitoring, and operational decision-making. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to coordinate effectively across global, regional, and cross-functional teams. Bachelor's degree required. Preferred: Experience supporting multi-market launches, geographic expansion, or repeatable operational programs; familiarity with Uber, Delivery, U4B, or marketplace operating models; demonstrated process improvement and scalability focus; comfortability with AI tools including ChatGPT and Claude; adaptability in fast-moving, evolving environments.
