Arctic Engines, part of the Apna Group (a unicorn-backed enterprise AI data operations company), is seeking an Operations Lead to manage large-scale egocentric video annotation programs for frontier AI models. You will own end-to-end workforce planning, daily production management, freelancer coordination, and on-time delivery of high-quality training data.
In this role, you will manage a workforce of 100+ annotators, reviewers, and team leads (including distributed freelancers). Key responsibilities include: sourcing support and onboarding; training coordination and scheduling; task allocation and performance management; building capacity and production plans; tracking productivity, utilization, turnaround time, and delivery against targets; coordinating annotation and QC workflows; resolving operational blockers and managing rework; maintaining SOPs, production trackers, and client-ready progress reports; and partnering with product and tooling teams to improve task assignment, review queues, and workflow efficiency.

The role is based in Bengaluru (Domlur office, 6 days per week on-site). Immediate joiners are preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in AI data or video annotation operations
- Proven experience managing a 100+ person annotation workforce, including distributed freelancers
- Direct experience with industrial video, robotics, or Physical AI datasets (mandatory)
- Working knowledge of egocentric video annotation, chunking, temporal action segmentation, action labels, keypoints, and natural language descriptions
- Strong skills in workforce planning, delivery management, reporting, escalation handling, and stakeholder communication
- Comfortable with annotation platforms, spreadsheets, dashboards, and structured data outputs
