Shield AI, a venture-backed defense-tech company, is seeking a Staff Organizational Change Management Specialist to build and lead its organizational change management (OCM) program for technical functions across the enterprise. In this role, you will own the design and execution of Shield's OCM program, creating frameworks, templates, playbooks, intake processes, and success metrics. You will lead change strategy and execution for major enterprise initiatives including identity and access management changes, endpoint and device management, security controls and compliance requirements (CMMC/NIST 800-171), ERP and business system rollouts, collaboration tool migrations, and new IT service models. Key responsibilities include partnering with IT, EntOps, and Cyber leaders early in project planning to assess impact, readiness, and risk; conducting stakeholder analysis and change impact assessments across engineering, manufacturing, flight ops, and corporate teams; creating communications, training, and enablement materials (announcements, FAQs, how-to guides, videos, office hours, change champion networks); measuring adoption using real data (ticket volume, usage telemetry, compliance rates, surveys) and adjusting strategy accordingly; coordinating release and change calendars to prevent employee disruption; and serving as the voice of the end user in technical decisions. Shield AI operates globally with offices and facilities across the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. The company's products include Hivemind autonomy software, V-BAT and X-BAT aircraft, and Aechelon simulation and synthetic reality technologies. Success in year one is measured by adoption of an OCM framework and intake process by IT, EntOps, and Cyber; measurable adoption and reduced support tickets on major rollouts; and leaders across these functions pulling you in by default at project kickoff. REQUIREMENTS: - 8+ years in organizational change management, with at least 3 years supporting IT, security, or enterprise technology programs - Real technical fluency in SSO/MFA, identity providers (Okta, Entra ID), MDM (Intune, Jamf), ITSM (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management), SaaS migrations, and security controls - Track record of building a change function or program, not just executing someone else's - Strong writing skills; ability to translate dense technical specifications into clear communications - Comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving, high-growth environment - Familiarity with a change methodology (Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter, or similar), applied pragmatically PREFERRED: - Experience in defense, aerospace, or other regulated environments (CMMC, ITAR, FedRAMP, NIST) - Prosci or CCMP certification - Background in IT project management, service delivery, or technical training - Experience supporting security awareness or compliance programs
