Boston Scientific seeks a Strategic Marketing Program Manager to develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives for the Interventional Spine (IVS) business. This role bridges customer insights with business strategy, translating deep patient, physician, and market research into actionable recommendations that drive market development, physician engagement, patient conversion, and portfolio growth.
Key responsibilities include leading patient and physician market research strategy (including attitudinal/usage studies, perception/expectation testing, voice-of-customer research, segmentation, and persona development); managing external research partners for high-quality execution. You will develop and manage an integrated market insights agenda by identifying critical business questions, prioritizing research initiatives, and aligning investments with key business priorities.
The role synthesizes patient, physician, competitive, clinical, market, and technology insights across multiple sources to identify emerging trends, unmet needs, and growth opportunities, translating findings into actionable recommendations for positioning, commercialization, and portfolio decisions. You will develop clinical marketing strategies in partnership with Clinical and Medical Affairs, translating scientific evidence and clinical data into compelling positioning and messaging.
You will support both upstream marketing (opportunity assessments, voice-of-customer research, market analysis, product positioning) and downstream commercialization (applying insights to positioning, messaging, launch planning, market development, and integrated marketing strategies). The role includes designing and executing physician and key opinion leader insight-generation activities (advisory boards, qualitative research) and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
Cross-functional collaboration is essential: you will partner with Sales, Clinical, Medical Affairs, R&D, Digital, upstream and downstream Marketing, and global partners to align priorities, communicate insights, influence decision-making, and ensure insights are applied across the business. You will also manage external agencies, market research vendors, and strategic partners to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
The role operates in a hybrid model, requiring presence in the local office at least three days per week.
