Together AI is seeking a Strategic Finance Senior Associate to own the financial side of the company's data center build-outs and infrastructure expansion. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Finance, Infrastructure, you will serve as the financial counterpart to the Infrastructure Strategy team, responsible for building and maintaining accurate cost bases for every deployment, validating that build-outs track to plan, and evaluating the economics of new data center sites.
Key responsibilities include: owning the complete cost forecast for data center build-outs (non-recurring costs, GPU/networking/storage capex, and operating costs); maintaining budget-versus-actual tracking against approved estimates and flagging variances with clear root-cause analysis; calculating and maintaining the all-in unit cost per GPU-hour as the source of truth for pricing and capital allocation; partnering with Infrastructure Strategy to evaluate new data center opportunities, including prepays, financing, tax treatment, and total cost of ownership; pressure-testing hardware cost assumptions and identifying savings opportunities with engineering teams; translating hardware delivery timelines and payment milestones into cash forecasts; and building dashboards and reporting processes that give leadership visibility into committed capital, spend to date, and forecast to completion by site.
The ideal candidate has 4+ years of substantive experience with data center or large-scale infrastructure capex, either on the operating side (finance, capex planning, or FP&A at a hyperscaler, neocloud, colocation provider, or data center developer) or the investing side (investment banking, infrastructure investing, or project finance with digital infrastructure focus). You should have working knowledge of the complete data center cost stack, exceptional financial modeling skills including site-level TCO and scenario analysis, demonstrated ownership of budget-versus-actual for large capital projects, and the ability to work directly with technical partners while translating complex infrastructure decisions into clear financial outcomes. Strong business judgment, creativity in problem-solving, and self-directed execution under tight timelines are essential.
