Affirm is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to join the Revenue Finance team, a high-impact, lean group within the broader Finance organization. This role sits at the intersection of financial planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making, supporting Affirm's horizontal business lines.
You will serve as the primary finance partner to Credit, Capital, Product, and Investor Relations teams, representing Revenue Finance in key executive forums and driving alignment on performance metrics and priorities. Core responsibilities include building and owning assumption-driven user and portfolio loan mix models through cross-functional collaboration, validating inputs, pressure-testing key drivers, and ensuring models reflect current business dynamics.
You will monitor performance against forecast across portfolio, user, and segment levels, diagnosing variances and identifying root causes to deliver forward-looking insights on user trends and loan portfolio health. You'll own consolidated reporting across Top of Funnel, Conversion, Users, Volume, and Loan Mix, synthesizing key drivers including mix, credit, pricing, and commercial impacts.
Additionally, you will provide decision support on strategic initiatives by evaluating trade-offs and P&L implications, and translate complex analyses into clear, executive-ready narratives that drive insight, inform strategy, and align stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of experience in analytical roles such as strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, data science, or analytics, with demonstrated impact on business outcomes. You should demonstrate strong business judgment, the ability to connect detailed analyses to broader strategic context, and proven influence across cross-functional teams. Expert financial modeling skills are essential; SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Sigma) are preferred. Familiarity with fintech, lending, and payments business models is a plus, as is experience with AI-driven analytical tools.
