Affirm is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to join the Revenue Finance team, a high-impact, lean group supporting horizontal business lines. This role sits at the intersection of finance strategy and executive decision-making, owning consolidated top-line forecasting across users and the loan portfolio.
You will serve as the primary finance partner to Credit, Capital, Product, and Investor Relations teams, representing Revenue Finance in key strategic forums and driving alignment on performance priorities. Core responsibilities include building and maintaining assumption-driven user and portfolio loan mix models through cross-functional partnerships, validating inputs, and pressure-testing key drivers to ensure outputs reflect current business dynamics.
The role requires monitoring performance against forecast across portfolio, user, and segment levels—diagnosing variances, identifying root causes, and delivering forward-looking insights on user trends and loan portfolio performance. You will own consolidated reporting across Top of Funnel, Conversion, Users, Volume, and Loan Mix, synthesizing key drivers including mix, credit, pricing, and commercial impacts.
Additionally, you will provide decision support on strategic initiatives by evaluating trade-offs and P&L implications, and translate complex analyses into clear, executive-ready narratives that drive insight and align cross-functional stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of experience in analytical roles such as strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, data science, or analytics, with demonstrated impact on business outcomes. You should demonstrate strong critical thinking, business judgment, and the ability to connect detailed analyses to broader strategic context. Expert financial modeling skills are essential; SQL proficiency and experience with data visualization tools (Sigma or similar) are preferred. Familiarity with fintech, lending, and payments business models is a plus, as is experience leveraging AI-driven tools to enhance analytical workflows.
