Salary: USD 185,915 - 195,700 / annual
Join Coinbase's FP&A team as a Strategic Finance Manager supporting the Platform organization. You'll serve as a key financial partner to Platform leadership, including the CTO, owning financial analysis and planning that drives resource allocation decisions as the company scales.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end financial deliverables: forecasting, reporting, and analysis for business partners, ensuring annual budgets and monthly planning cycles are executed with precision
- Drive month-end close processes through detailed variance analysis and partnership with the Accounting team to maintain financial data integrity
- Proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities by analyzing financial and operational data, surfacing insights and root causes before being asked
- Partner with Platform leadership as a trusted financial advisor, preparing and presenting analysis during business reviews and translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Build and maintain financial models that quantify risks, opportunities, and investment trade-offs across your portfolio
Required qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or similar fast-paced finance environments
- Track record managing large-scale OpEx budgets (headcount, infrastructure, AI, contractors) across multiple cost centers
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders on resource allocation and investment decisions through clear, data-driven financial analysis
- Advanced financial modeling skills, SQL proficiency for data analysis, and hands-on experience with planning tools (Anaplan, NetSuite) or data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau)
- Demonstrated ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human-in-the-loop practices
