The Strategic Finance Lead - Product role is a senior individual contributor position reporting to executive leadership. This is a highly cross-functional role serving as a strategic thought partner to Product, Engineering, and the Executive Leadership Team. Key responsibilities include:
• Evaluating product performance and translating metrics into strategic insights for senior leaders
• Partnering on pricing, monetization, and investment prioritization decisions
• Building financial models, forecasts, and business cases that connect product performance to strategic outcomes
• Analyzing product, customer, operational, and financial data to inform decision-making
• Working with Analytics and Data teams to define key business questions and translate analytical outputs into actionable recommendations
• Creating executive-ready materials and communicating complex financial information clearly to leadership
The role explicitly does not involve building analytics infrastructure or owning dashboard production—instead focusing on strategic analysis and business judgment.
Required qualifications include 5-8+ years in strategic finance, product finance, FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, or growth finance, ideally at a high-growth tech company. Candidates should have strong financial modeling skills, experience partnering with Product/Engineering leaders on growth and strategic decisions, and the ability to work effectively with data teams. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business required; MBA preferred.
