Lab37 Robotics is a technology company developing and deploying robots for direct-to-customer food production. The Strategic Finance Associate will be a core member of the finance team, supporting financial planning and analysis, unit economics, investment cases, and strategic business reviews. You will translate operational and technical decisions into clear financial implications and provide the analysis leadership needs to allocate capital, manage costs, and scale the business responsibly. This is a high-impact, hands-on role offering broad exposure to a fast-growing robotics business. Key responsibilities include: **Financial Planning & Analysis:** Build and maintain Lab37's operating model, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans in partnership with the Head of Finance & Strategy. Coordinate budget and forecast inputs across Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Commercial, and G&A functions. Prepare monthly and quarterly performance analyses including budget-to-actual variance analysis, cash-flow outlooks, KPI reporting, and business review materials. Translate product roadmaps, hiring plans, manufacturing capacity, deployment schedules, and commercial assumptions into financial forecasts. Improve tools, processes, and reporting infrastructure. **Strategic Finance & Projects:** Develop and refine unit economics for current and future robot systems, including R&D investment, cost-to-build, deployment economics, utilization, payback periods, and returns on invested capital. Analyze customer profitability and automation ROI to evaluate how Lab37's products improve restaurant economics. Support strategic analyses related to pricing, product economics, market expansion, cost structure, capital allocation, and investment decisions. Build clear, decision-oriented models and presentations for executive leadership, investors, and cross-functional partners. You should be intellectually curious, highly analytical, and eager to understand how products are built, deployed, and monetized. You can turn open-ended questions into structured analysis, pressure-test assumptions, and communicate clearly. You thrive in technical, operationally complex environments where finance shapes decisions and strategy. You're comfortable with limited precedent, digging into details, and switching between independent execution and close collaboration. Required: 4-7+ years in strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or similar analytical roles. Strong financial modeling skills with experience building integrated financial statements, operating models, forecasts, and long-range plans. Advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency. Strong analytical judgment connecting financial results to operational drivers. Clear written and verbal communication. High ownership, attention to detail, and comfort in fast-paced environments with incomplete information. Track record of cross-functional collaboration with technical and business teams. Experience with robotics, hardware, manufacturing, supply chain, restaurant operations, or technology businesses is strongly preferred but not required.
