Snowflake seeks a Strategic Finance Analyst II to serve as a business partner at the intersection of product strategy and financial analysis. This high-visibility role focuses on improving product leaders' understanding of profitable growth by measuring key metrics, inferring actionable insights, and accelerating operational efficiency across Product, Engineering, and Sales. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining financial models that track revenue and cost drivers for accurate forecasting and real-time visibility into workload contribution margins. You will analyze historical and forward-looking trends for revenue, COGS, and margin to provide actionable recommendations influencing pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies. Collaboration with Product Managers, Engineering, and Sales teams is essential—you'll evaluate new product features and market opportunities, developing business cases with data-driven insights into revenue potential and profitability. The role demands strong SQL skills to navigate complex data structures and uncover the "why" behind numbers. You will leverage Snowflake Intelligence and AISQL to automate manual reporting and accelerate insight discovery, using native AI features to streamline workflows. You'll build scalable, automated dashboards that Product and Finance leaders rely on for decision-making, maintained by Snowflake's BI team. Additionally, you'll identify and resolve infrastructure spend abnormalities to maintain healthy margins, providing recommendations to reduce COGS and improve cost efficiency. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field, plus 2–5 years of experience in Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, or Data Analytics. SaaS, Cloud, Data, or Fintech background—especially partnering with Product, Engineering, and Sales—is strongly preferred. You must demonstrate strong financial and analytical skills, including financial modeling and ability to juggle competing priorities. Technical agility with SQL is preferred; coding experience is a significant plus. Revenue and margin analysis experience is essential, with familiarity in Salesforce or GTM systems highly beneficial. You should possess an ownership and problem-solving mindset, working through ambiguity and taking initiative. Exceptional communication skills are critical—you must translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences and present comfortably to VP/C-level leadership. A continuous improvement mentality is expected; you believe the first version is never final and always seek better approaches.
