OpenAI's Government team is seeking a Strategic Delivery Lead to identify, shape, and deliver high-impact AI deployments for U.S. Intelligence Community organizations. This role bridges OpenAI's frontier AI capabilities—including ChatGPT Enterprise, ChatGPT Gov, and the OpenAI API—with mission-critical needs across intelligence agencies (ODNI, CIA, NSA, DIA, NGA, NRO, and others).
You will own end-to-end execution of complex technical delivery workstreams, translating intelligence mission priorities into secure, technically feasible AI solutions. Key responsibilities include: building trusted relationships with IC mission owners, analysts, and acquisition leaders to identify high-value use cases; owning delivery from discovery through pilot, security authorization, production deployment, and sustained adoption; translating mission requirements and data constraints into clear technical requirements and architectural decisions; leading cross-functional teams spanning Forward Deployed Engineers, Solutions Architects, Researchers, Product, Security, Legal, and Privacy teams; establishing delivery operating rhythms, roadmaps, milestone tracking, and risk governance; coordinating deployment across classified and unclassified environments with appropriate security and compliance frameworks; incorporating human oversight, explainability, and bias mitigation consistent with IC AI ethics principles; and managing technical, operational, contractual, and mission risks while maintaining program velocity.
You will partner with IC elements, mission integrators, cloud providers, industry partners, and academia to develop AI applications for all-source analysis, intelligence production, collection management, open-source and geospatial exploitation, cyber threat analysis, knowledge discovery, and analyst productivity. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role requiring technical fluency, deep program-management expertise, executive presence, sound judgment in classified environments, and commitment to translating novel AI into trusted, real-world intelligence outcomes.
Required qualifications: 10+ years leading technical programs, enterprise AI/cloud deployments, intelligence mission transformation, or national security consulting with substantial direct delivery experience with U.S. Intelligence Community customers. Active U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance required; full-scope polygraph preferred.
