Terraformation seeks a Project Director to lead the Keta Blue mangrove restoration initiative in Ghana. This is a full accountability role for translating the company's vision into on-the-ground impact through adaptive management, stakeholder governance, and disciplined execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the turnaround and implementation of the Keta Blue mangrove restoration project
- Serve as primary accountability holder for successful project delivery
- Create conditions for Terraformation, ReDAW, technical experts, communities, and partners to function as a high-performing team with clear roles, decision rights, and accountability
- Integrate technical, operational, social, commercial, carbon, and governance considerations into decision-making
- Establish structured processes for hypothesis testing, intervention design, learning, and decision gates
- Make sound decisions with incomplete information in a dynamic field environment
- Translate emerging evidence into clear recommendations and timely project adjustments
- Ensure the project meets Terraformation's commitments to communities, partners, investors, and carbon stakeholders
- Maintain consistent field presence in the Keta Lagoon area (minimum 50% of working time)
This role requires someone who can operate effectively across technical and social domains, build trust with diverse stakeholders, and drive results in a complex, adaptive management context. The successful candidate will balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and have the resilience to work in field conditions while maintaining organizational discipline.
