Salary: USD 185,000 - 325,000 / annual
Ceribell is a medical technology company transforming the diagnosis and management of serious neurological conditions through its novel point-of-care EEG platform. The Ceribell System is a rapid seizure detection technology deployed across hundreds of community hospitals, academic medical centers, and integrated delivery networks (IDNs) nationwide.
The Strategic Account Manager is a senior individual contributor role focused on driving system-wide adoption and expanding utilization of Ceribell's rapid EEG technology across the Southeast region (Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia). This position requires a strategic mindset, ability to navigate complex healthcare decision-making structures, and deep understanding of hospital operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cultivating executive-level relationships within regional IDNs and health systems, engaging stakeholders across clinical, administrative, and supply chain functions
- Leading the full sales cycle from prospecting through contracting, navigating multiple decision-making layers to secure new business and system-wide adoption
- Partnering with internal teams (Clinical, Marketing, Strategic Accounts, Market Access) to align on strategy, messaging, and execution
- Developing deep understanding of each customer's workflow, financial objectives, and patient care priorities to tailor value propositions
- Supporting new account onboarding by collaborating with clinical and implementation teams to ensure smooth integration and high user adoption
- Maintaining visibility into territory pipeline, forecast accuracy, and account performance using Salesforce and analytics tools
- Representing Ceribell at industry events, clinical conferences, and strategic business meetings
- Upholding compliance and professionalism standards in all customer interactions
The role requires up to 60% travel within the assigned region and residency within the Southeast territory.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or clinical background preferred
- Minimum 7 years in medical device or capital equipment sales with strong track record in large hospital systems or IDNs
- Strong preference for 5+ years selling into acute care settings (ICU/ED)
- Demonstrated experience managing long, consultative sales cycles and influencing multi-stakeholder C-suite decisions
- Deep understanding of healthcare systems, purchasing processes, and reimbursement dynamics
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking with ability to translate insights into actionable plans
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach and comfort in fast-paced, growth-stage environment
- Internal candidates must have completed minimum 12 consecutive months in current role with 'Meets Expectations' or higher performance rating (exceptions require CRO approval)
