Salary: EUR 37,000 - 40,000 / annual
Roadsurfer is Europe's largest campervan rental company, offering vehicle rentals, subscriptions, sales, and a platform for discovering unique camping spots. As Station Manager in Duisburg, you will lead the operational development and day-to-day management of a growing rental station.
Key responsibilities include: building and scaling the station location in collaboration with central departments; implementing and optimizing existing operational standards (vehicle handovers, returns, customer interactions); managing a team with empathic leadership and clear communication; recruiting and developing team members; overseeing fleet management and vehicle condition; coordinating with local service partners; and providing expert customer consultation on roadsurfer products.
You will work closely with international roadsurfer teams across multiple countries, continuously improving processes and contributing your own ideas. The role requires strong operational pragmatism, customer service orientation, and the ability to create a supportive work environment that fosters clarity, performance, and employee autonomy.
Required qualifications: completed vocational training or degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience); 1–2 years of professional experience, ideally in car rental, tourism, or similar sectors (career changers welcome); some team leadership experience is a plus, though empathic communication and collaborative mindset are more important; fluent German and English; valid Class B driver's license.
