Neara is a climate tech company using advanced machine learning and physics-enabled digital twins to simulate and stress-test electricity grids across four continents. The company helps utilities understand infrastructure challenges, optimize investments, and build resilience against extreme weather and structural stress.
As Director of Customer Implementation, you will oversee a strategic portfolio of electric utilities across the United States, reporting directly to the VP of Customer Implementation. You will manage a team of 4-5 Customer Value Architects and Forward Deployed Engineers, driving multi-year enterprise software engagements from pilot through full-scale deployment and long-term value realization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end program delivery and account success across enterprise electric utility customers, serving as executive escalation point and trusted advisor
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 4-5 direct reports, driving delivery excellence and resource allocation
- Partner with utility leaders to define ROI frameworks, map digital twin workflows to existing processes, and ensure software adoption across complex organizations
- Oversee execution of technical workstreams including data integration, custom scripting, and platform configuration
- Work with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to feed customer insights into product roadmap and identify expansion opportunities
- Establish project governance frameworks and maintain structured communication with utility executives and steering committees
You bring proven experience as a Director/Head of Implementation or Delivery within top-tier consulting or technology firms, with a track record of leading large-scale enterprise software deployments and digital transformation initiatives. A background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field is required, paired with practical technical experience (Python, SQL, data pipelines, software integration). Experience with electric utilities, energy companies, or large-scale physical infrastructure is ideal. You excel at managing and mentoring technical individual contributors in customer-facing environments and have exceptional communication skills for navigating complex organizational structures.
