You'll join the Partnerships team as a Staff/Principal Product Designer, leading design strategy across multiple product units within this high-growth fintech company. This role balances two types of work: zero-to-one product launches where you operate with startup velocity, and optimization of core business experiences that drive measurable revenue impact.
Key responsibilities include: setting vision and strategy for user experience across product units, building new products and iterating on established ones, managing tradeoffs between incremental improvements and transformational bets, stakeholder management across engineering, product, and marketing, and driving improvements to the product development process. For Principal-level candidates, mentoring and leading other designers is expected. You'll actively participate in transitioning toward AI-augmented product development.
You'll lead projects end-to-end from discovery through implementation and measurement, with demonstrated ability to launch 0-1 products, not just iterate on existing ones. The role requires balancing design rigor with startup velocity—knowing when to follow process and when to shortcut it while maintaining excellent output quality.
Required: 7+ years product design experience (10+ for Principal), 2+ years at a venture-funded startup, strong portfolio demonstrating speed and quality, track record in high-velocity experiment-driven environments, and ability to articulate design reasoning with intentionality. For Principal: 2+ years influencing other designers through direct or indirect leadership. Majority of experience should be in-house on direct-to-consumer products.
