Fin is an AI Customer Agent company transforming how businesses deliver customer support. Founded in 2011, Fin is one of the largest private software companies globally, with nearly 30,000 businesses using its products. The company is hiring a Staff/Principal Product Designer to push the boundaries of product craft and shape the future of AI-powered customer experiences. This is not a strategy-only or people-management role—it's a maker and doer position focused on deep craft excellence. The role involves owning end-to-end design for high-impact product areas, from concept through execution. You'll define new interaction patterns and design paradigms for Fin's AI agent and automation tools, working across desktop, mobile, chat interfaces, and emerging AI-first experiences. Key responsibilities include sketching and prototyping ideas at different fidelities to validate design decisions, collaborating closely with engineers and product managers to define problems and deliver high-quality solutions, and maintaining exceptional standards of craft while balancing speed with execution. You'll be expected to think end-to-end—from big-picture systems thinking to pixel-perfect interaction details. The ideal candidate has shipped complex, high-quality software products and brings world-class interaction design skills. You should understand engineering, be able to build prototypes using tools like Framer, Figma, or code, and operate with agency and ownership without needing structured direction. This role demands someone who obsesses over details, knows what great design looks and feels like, and can articulate design decisions with clarity and conviction. You should thrive in ambiguity and prefer execution-heavy work over pure strategy or research.
