Fin is an AI Customer Agent company transforming customer support through advanced AI technology. Founded in 2011, Fin is one of the largest private software companies globally, with nearly 30,000 businesses using its products. The company is hiring a Staff/Principal Product Designer to push the boundaries of product craft and shape the future of AI-powered customer experiences. This is a craft-focused, individual contributor role—not a people-management or strategy-only position. The designer will own end-to-end design for high-impact product areas, from concept through execution. Key responsibilities include defining new interaction patterns and design paradigms for Fin's AI Agent and automation tools, sketching and prototyping ideas at various fidelities to validate decisions, and working closely with engineers and product managers to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate has shipped complex, high-quality software products and designs across multiple surfaces (desktop, mobile, chat interfaces, AI-first experiences). They balance speed with meticulous attention to detail, think systemically from big-picture architecture to pixel-level interactions, and understand engineering well enough to prototype ideas using tools like Framer, Figma, or code. They have strong design taste, can articulate decisions with clarity and conviction, and operate with agency and ownership without requiring extensive direction. Fin is design-driven with 60+ designers across R&D and Brand, and two co-founders from design backgrounds. Designers are central to the company's strategy and have a seat at the table from the start. The role focuses on raising quality standards, driving execution excellence, and pushing the boundaries of interaction and visual design across strategic product areas. This is ideal for someone passionate about interaction design, product thinking, and pixel-perfect execution who thrives in open-ended, ambiguous environments.
