Salary: USD 146,600 - 219,800 / annual

The Staff Web Designer will lead design strategy and execution across Harvey's web presence, including harvey.ai and all customer-facing digital surfaces. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant scope and influence over the company's brand and user experience at scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and evolving the website design system, establishing scalable patterns, component libraries, and governance standards that maintain consistency and accelerate delivery across all web surfaces.
- Leading end-to-end design processes for web projects, from user research and concept through interaction design, prototyping, and technical specification hand-off to engineers and motion designers.
- Driving continuous innovation through exploration, prototyping, and user testing to improve user experience, conversion, and accessibility.
- Mentoring junior web designers and embedding best practices around responsive design, accessibility, and design-system governance.
- Running design reviews, presenting work to marketing leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, and articulating design rationale with clarity.
- Leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to accelerate design workflows and explore new interaction paradigms.
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional design experience with significant focus on web and digital product design at a staff or senior-staff level.
- Portfolio demonstrating mastery of UX design, interaction design, responsive web design, and design-system architecture.
- Deep expertise in systems thinking and building, scaling, and governing design systems that serve multiple teams.
- Strong command of modern design tools (Figma) and comfort at the intersection of design and front-end development, including pixel-level specifications and technical hand-offs.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-assisted design workflows and track record of raising quality and velocity in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience running design reviews and cross-functional critiques.
