Conga is seeking a Staff UX Researcher to lead and elevate the company's user research program across its commercial operations platform. Conga unifies pricing, quoting, contracting, rebates, and communications for enterprise customers—over 50% of the Fortune 100 rely on Conga when managing complex commercial workflows. As a Staff UX Researcher, you'll operate as a senior individual contributor spanning multiple product areas. You'll guide Conga's research strategy, establish research operations infrastructure, and mentor designers and product managers in applied research methods. Your work will shape how the entire organization understands its customers and will influence product strategy at the leadership level. Key responsibilities include: - Build out Conga's UX Research Program, including operations, templates, participant recruitment, baseline metrics, and shared standards - Lead end-to-end research across complex, cross-functional product areas—from planning through synthesis, analysis, insights, and reporting - Design and execute studies using quantitative and qualitative methods: concept validation, user interviews, usability testing, prototyping, and surveys - Translate research findings into compelling narratives that inform product strategy and decision-making across leadership, product, and engineering - Partner with product designers and PMs to embed research into every stage of design and development - Mentor designers and PMs in research methods, building organizational research fluency - Define and track research metrics and KPIs; share results with leadership - Identify research gaps across the product portfolio and advocate for prioritization based on business impact and risk - Collaborate with data analysts to unite qualitative insights with quantitative engagement analytics You'll report to the Manager of User Experience Design and work in a hybrid capacity from either Boston or Houston. Required experience: - 8+ years of UX research, with a portfolio demonstrating complex enterprise or SaaS research - Deep command of both generative and evaluative research methods - Experience designing and scaling research operations (recruitment, templates, training, repositories, tooling) - Experience in cross-functional enterprise environments with multiple simultaneous workstreams - Strong ability to influence product and design direction through relationship-building and communication - Clear, confident communication with the ability to synthesize findings into stakeholder-ready narratives
