ServiceTitan is seeking a Staff User Experience Researcher to lead research programs across 4–6 product areas and shape research strategy for a fast-growing home services software platform. This is a senior individual contributor role for an autonomous researcher who owns the full research lifecycle—from problem framing through decision and follow-through.
Key responsibilities include conducting high-value generative and evaluative research on strategic product initiatives; building deep expertise on users, problems, and competitive landscape across product themes; owning a multi-quarter research backlog and prioritizing research questions in alignment with product vision; reviewing and elevating work from junior researchers to set quality standards; leading research critique sessions and establishing feedback loops; partnering with senior PMs and design leaders to de-risk decisions and sequence high-impact work; triangulating insights across multiple sources to shape product vision and roadmap; developing and leading research program strategy while mentoring researchers; contributing to hiring and talent evaluation; collaborating with data science and analytics teams to develop mixed-methods strategies with human-centered metrics; and delivering compelling research narratives to stakeholders.
The role requires 7+ years of UX research experience with a track record of leading strategic research programs across multiple product areas. Ideal candidates have expertise in mixed-methods research strategies, deep knowledge of research methodologies, a strong portfolio of research deliverables aligned with business objectives, and demonstrated ability to translate complex findings into clear strategic choices for senior stakeholders. A degree in HCI, Design, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, or equivalent practical experience is required.
