Archer Technologies is an aerospace company building all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for sustainable air mobility. We seek a Staff UI/UX Designer to join our Design Studio and support the Product Development team in creating digital interfaces and internal-facing desktop tools for manufacturing and aircraft assembly. You will design innovative features and products critical to our manufacturing operations, working closely with the Business Systems team to improve assembly line interfaces. Your focus will be on creating intuitive, scalable user experiences that serve both engineering teams and shop floor operators. You'll translate complex requirements into practical product features, collaborate with engineers and product managers on design reviews, and maintain design readiness at least one sprint ahead of development. Key responsibilities include: - Collaborating with engineers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and conduct weekly design reviews - Translating complex concepts into intuitive user flows and polished interfaces aligned with our design system - Creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity design specs for rapid iteration and validation - Conducting user research, usability testing, and refining product requirements with Product Managers - Partnering with front-end developers to ensure seamless implementation and visual quality across browsers and devices You bring 5+ years of senior or staff-level design experience with a strong portfolio of result-driven case studies. You have proven expertise designing SaaS products and complex technical interfaces for enterprise customers, proficiency in design tools like Figma and Adobe, and experience collaborating with engineering teams in data-driven environments. Familiarity with manufacturing industry systems (SAP, Siemens Opcenter, Mendix) and AI products is valued. You hold a Bachelor's degree in Product Design, HCI, or equivalent experience. You excel at simplifying complex functionalities, possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, and communicate design decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. You thrive in fast-paced, iterative environments and are passionate about mentoring and fostering collaborative team culture.
