Oura is seeking a Staff Technical Product Manager to own the roadmap for the Business Technology Services (BTS) and Workato platform—the shared integration and automation infrastructure connecting Oura's ERP, financial, commercial, and customer systems. This infrastructure feeds the Databricks data lakehouse and data mesh, and increasingly supports AI agents operating across the organization.
In this role, you will partner directly with Business Technology directors and stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, Member Experience, Commercial, and Corporate functions to translate underspecified platform demand into a single, clear, prioritized roadmap. You'll bring genuine technical depth—comfortable owning API contracts, versioning strategies, and integration-pattern decisions (Workato vs. custom AWS-native builds, sync vs. event-driven architectures)—while collaborating with Enterprise Architecture and a Staff Integration Engineer on deep systems design.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and continuously prioritizing the BTS platform roadmap across Business Technology domains, converting business asks into a clear, sequenced backlog that enables scale, international expansion, and NetSuite decoupling
- Aligning demand intake across BTS and Workato queues into a single structured, prioritized process, replacing disconnected backlogs with one holistic view
- Partnering directly with Business Technology directors and stakeholders to elicit and structure platform demand, establishing a transparent intake and prioritization process
- Owning the platform's API contracts, versioning, and integration-pattern decisions—technical enough to make and defend these calls yourself
- Building and defending the platform narrative for executive and cross-functional audiences, translating technical trade-offs into business impact
- Partnering with Enterprise Architecture on platform-vs-domain scope decisions, including how BTS integration flows feed the data lakehouse and support the data mesh
- Reviewing and recommending approaches for MCP servers and AI agents supporting the BTS ecosystem
- Contributing to standing up the Integration & Automation Engineering team, partnering on team structure, hiring, and the transition from contractor-led to FTE-led delivery
This is a remote role based in the US. Oura provides competitive benefits including health/dental/vision insurance, mental health resources, an Oura Ring, 20 days PTO plus 13 paid holidays plus 8 wellness days, paid sick leave, and parental leave.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of technical product or platform management experience, with significant time owning infrastructure, integration, or API platforms (not customer-facing features)
- Strong technical background: comfortable writing or critiquing specs (OpenAPI, event schemas, contracts) and defending build-vs-buy or versioning decisions
- Working knowledge of core AWS services for integration platforms (API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, SQS/SNS)—enough to make informed design calls and speak the engineers' language
- Direct experience with iPaaS/integration platforms (Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar) and with API design, versioning, and contract management
- Track record of working directly with business and operations stakeholders to convert vague requests into clear, buildable requirements
- Track record of owning a platform roadmap serving multiple internal consuming teams, including running intake and prioritization across competing demand
- Comfort negotiating sequencing and trade-offs directly with senior (Director and above) stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with demonstrated ability to translate technical trade-offs into business terms for executives
- Demonstrated use of LLM assistants and agentic build tools (Claude, Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable) in daily work—research, drafting, analysis, prototyping, problem-solving—with sound judgment about when AI is and isn't appropriate
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience standing up or governing an AI control plane, MCP gateway, or agent observability/policy layer
- Experience with ERP integration or decoupling (NetSuite or similar) in a growth-stage company
- Familiarity with data lakehouse or data mesh architectures (Databricks) and how upstream integration design affects downstream analytics
- Experience transitioning a contractor-run function into a permanent platform team
