Shield AI, a venture-backed defense-tech company, is seeking a Staff Talent Sourcer to lead talent acquisition strategy across the EU region. You will own the top of the sourcing funnel, partnering with recruiters and hiring leaders to define target profiles and build data-informed sourcing strategies for roles spanning Engineering, Software, AI/ML, Hardware, Operations, Product, and corporate functions.
Key responsibilities include mapping the EU talent landscape by company, skillset, function, and geography to identify hidden talent pools and emerging trends. You'll generate and engage exceptional candidates using advanced Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, HireEZ, GitHub, and creative sourcing channels. You'll build long-term pipelines with passive and highly specialized talent to enable just-in-time hiring across strategic programs.
You'll develop deep expertise across EU countries and talent ecosystems, adapting sourcing strategies to local market dynamics, candidate expectations, languages, and regional hiring requirements. A core part of the role involves leveraging AI to scale sourcing—designing AI-powered workflows, research agents, and automations that increase recruiter productivity and accelerate candidate discovery.
You'll build repeatable sourcing systems using AI tools and workflow automation to create structured market maps, talent intelligence reports, and scalable recruiting processes. As the sourcing subject matter expert, you'll coach recruiters and hiring managers on regional market insights, talent availability, and emerging recruiting technologies. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition Operations, Employer Brand, and business leaders to optimize recruiting strategies and candidate experience. Finally, you'll use recruiting analytics and experimentation to measure sourcing effectiveness, optimize outreach strategies, and continuously evolve practices across EU markets.
