Rocket Lab is seeking a Learning & Development Advisor to join its growing People & Culture team in Auckland. This role focuses on facilitating high-impact learning experiences and managing the company's Academy programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating training sessions and workshops in both in-person and virtual formats
- Overseeing Academy programs to ensure consistency, quality, and continuous improvement
- Supporting the design and implementation of newly created learning academies, including those in Shared Services
- Contributing to the development of blended learning resources using instructional design principles
- Supporting onboarding programs to ensure new employees have engaging learning experiences
- Working closely with the L&D Team Lead and stakeholders to ensure learning pathways are effective and aligned to organizational goals
The role emphasizes facilitation, program management, and operational ownership of learning academies rather than deep e-learning development. You'll apply sound instructional design practices while maintaining a practical, delivery-focused approach.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Learning and Development or related role
- Proven experience designing and delivering effective training programs
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning software
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities
Desirable qualifications include experience in production, manufacturing, or technical industries; training and development certification; and experience with AI in L&D environments.
