Qualcomm is seeking a Staff Specialist in IT Sourcing to own a portfolio of IT sourcing initiatives and deliver measurable value across the organization's IT spend. This is an individual contributor role based in Mexico City. In this position, you will develop and execute category and negotiation strategies in partnership with IT, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders, balancing technology, risk, timeline, and total cost of ownership. You will lead the end-to-end Source-to-Contract process, from RFx through award and contract execution, driving timely supply acquisition, strong commercial terms, and documented savings. Key responsibilities include: - Partnering with IT, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to align sourcing outcomes with organizational priorities and roadmaps - Building and executing IT sourcing strategies to maximize value, manage risk, and support business unit objectives - Leading RFx events end-to-end: scoping, building tenders, evaluating proposals, negotiating commercials, and presenting award recommendations - Using spend analytics, benchmarks, and cost models to deliver decision-ready options with clear trade-offs - Negotiating and contracting in line with corporate standards to mitigate risk and protect value - Driving cross-functional execution and negotiations; anticipating impacts from changing requirements, cost targets, timelines, and volumes - Making sound decisions on complex, cross-functional issues and communicating risks, recommendations, and next steps - Managing a portfolio of sourcing projects and deadlines; improving processes and driving best-practice adoption across the Source-to-Contract lifecycle This is an office-based position in Mexico City. Resumes must be provided in English. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of sourcing or related work experience; OR Associate's degree and 8+ years of sourcing or related work experience; OR High School Diploma/equivalent and 10+ years of sourcing or related work experience. Advanced degrees in relevant fields may substitute for up to two years of work experience (Master's = one year, Doctorate = two years). Preferred Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in a large matrixed organization - 2+ years of experience interacting with senior leadership (Director level and above) - Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, IT, or related field - Proven IT category experience, including sourcing of software, hardware, and services - Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, project management, and conflict-resolution skills - High emotional intelligence and strong stakeholder/customer orientation; comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-paced environments - Strong analytical capability (spend analytics, cost modeling, what-if analysis) and proficiency with sourcing tools and platforms - Strategic and creative thinking; ability to structure complex problems and drive practical solutions - Working knowledge of IT supplier markets, subcategories, leading vendors, and key industry trends - Track record of delivering year-over-year, multi-million-dollar savings and measurable value outcomes
